Robin Hu is Asia Chairman to Milken Institute, an independent American economic think tank. He is Chairman Constellar Holding Ltd, a Temasek portfolio company in the exhibition and convention business. He is Chairman Mandai Nature, a non-profit foundation dedicated to protecting biodiversity and wildlife conservation in Southeast Asia.
Mr. Hu was Vice Chairman Asia and Operating Partner for Temasek, a global investment firm headquartered in Singapore. He headed its Sustainability and International Policy groups before becoming its Advisory Senior Director in 2024. Mr. Hu is also Singapore’s Non-Resident Ambassador to Timor Leste.
Prior to Temasek, Mr. Hu was Group CEO of Hong Kong listed English language Daily South China Morning Post Group, where he led the group’s transformation into a digital centric media platform that led to its subsequent divestiture to Alibaba Ltd.
He had served on the boards of MediaCorp, Singapore’s national broadcaster, Business China, a non-profit organisation dedicated to advancing business connectivity between Singapore, ASEAN and China, and Bangkok Exchange listed Bangkok Post Group.
Mr. Hu has worked and lived in Singapore, Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou, Taiwan, and Hong Kong, spanning multiple industries such as IT, Internet, media, finance, and government. He is a keen follower of current affairs and geopolitics.
He is a member of the international advisory council of London based think tank Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum (OMFIF), and Bank of Singapore’s CIO Global Advisory Investment Council.
