Admiral Christopher Grady is a senior defense and national security leader with more than four decades of operational, strategic, and institutional experience at the highest levels of the U.S. government.
He has commanded at every level, including three ships, a destroyer squadron, a carrier strike group, and two fleets. He most recently served as the 12th Vice Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff – the naHon’s second-highest ranking military officer – where he advised the President, Secretary of Defense, and NaHonal Security Council in the White House on global military operaHons, force posture, nuclear deterrence, and strategic risk. In this role, he helped shape U.S. defense strategy across great power compeHHon, emerging technologies, and joint force integraHon.
In the private sector, Admiral Grady brings a disciplined, mission-oriented approach to advising organizations operating at the intersection of defense, technology, and global risk. He has provided strategic counsel to hedge funds, venture capital, and private equity firms on geopolitical risk, defense markets and the defense industrial base, mobilization, and emerging technology adoption.
Admiral Grady currently serves on the Board of Directors of Northrop Grumman and Domino Data Lab, and on the Board of Advisors for Spire Global and K2 Space. He is also a member of the Board of Governors for the USO and the Board of Trustees for Fisher House, supporting service members and their families.
He is widely recognized for his ability to translate complex security environments into actionable strategy for executive leadership, making him a trusted advisor to organizations seeking clarity, resilience, and competitive advantage in an increasingly contested global landscape.
